Events Ahead in 2012?

We booked over 40 private performances this past summer, in 2011. We did programs for birthday parties in Chilmark and Edgartown. We did private cookouts and even a wedding rehearsal dinner. We did cruise ships and a lot of just good performing.

We are very proud of the support we got on Martha’s Vineyard this summer and wish all our friends a special thank you. If you are interested in knowing more about our past gigs, if you are looking for references, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Looking Astern in 2011

Sunday, February 6, 8:45 to 10:15 a.m.: Performed at the 49th annual Catboat Association Annual meeting Anything Goes Forum, at Groton, Connecticut. The program involved storytelling by catboat sailors; together with sea songs and a few stories by Mark Alan Lovewell

Tuesday, April 26, 1:30 p.m. Sea Songs and Stories Cape Cod and Islands, a program by Mark Alan Lovewell. The Barnstable Senior Center, 825 Falmouth Road, Hyannis. Telephone: 508-862-4750.

Friday, May 20, from noon to 3 p.m.: Told stories and provided background music for the Vineyard Gazette open house.

Friday, May 27, 1 p.m. Performed for the Edgartown Elementary School, in their March to the Sea program, at Memorial Wharf. Told a story and sang a song.

Friday, June 24, 6 p.m.: Private 70th birthday party in Chilmark.

Saturday, June 25, 8:30 p.m.: Boy Scouts camping out at Camp Duarte. Fireside, campfire performance. For information contact Troop 22, Bloomfield, N.J.; Troop leader Paul Wilson 973-873-9264.
