Photography Class: Explore photography with a professional who has more than 30 years of experience. Private classes are given at Mark Alan Lovewell's home and gallery in downtown Vineyard Haven. It is a great start for the beginner, or one who is rediscovering the fun of picture taking, a second time. Classes include slide shows, critique and outdoor shooting. Classes cover composition, basic photographic technique. This is a class serving those with a digital camera, a simple "point and shoot" or 35 mm camera. There is a lot to learn, a lot to share between students and teacher.
The teacher puts a good deal of effort into meeting all the student's goals. Instruction is conducted with the intent of being helpful, leaving out the nonessential. With so much to learn and so much not necessary to learn, photographic study needs to meet the needs of the student. Mr. Lovewell's classes are successful because he gives the student what he or she needs to get out there and have a good time. It doesn't have to be too complicated. It needs to be fun and inspiring.
